I hate Erin! (Contains Spoiler)

I hate Erin! Every horror movie has some idiot who gets his or herself and everyone else killed! Erin is that person! First she insists on being Miss Goody Two-shoes by inopportuning everyone to stop the van in order to pick up that dazed girl that commits suicide inside the van, then when everyone wants to dump the body and get the hell out of that creepy area with the barn, she insists against everyone's better judgement to stay because "you can't just dump the body!," then she walks into Leatherface's house and gets her boyfriend killed, and starts shouting to everyone else, I AIN'T LEAVING WITHOUT MY BOYFRIEND!

The b-t-ch basically got everyone killed. Didn't matter how many red flags were going off that any normal person would sense a mile away, she kept on going deeper into the wolf's den even as the wolf was baring its bloody fangs and sending out warnings. Talk about being dense. Yes, I know there wouldn't be a picture without Erin, but dam, is she detestable!

I agree with everything you said except with Kemper. He got himself killed by going into a house he was not invited in.

Wow. Pepper was a hitchhiker and they picked her up. The girl needed help.

You can't just dump a body. Would you want someone to dump yours or your friends?

For me, it went against all common sense to go to that house based on the evidence collected after picking up the hitchhiker. Travis County is close to Austin, so just drive there and notify the cops.

Everything about that town, house, and the people there screamed "get out of there quick."

It's in the script. If she didn't insist on ideas that got her friends killed, we would never have a TCM movie. Have you seen the original? It's the same concept except the brother is insistent on leaving the creepy area, but his sister and all her friends wanted to stay and get killed. Bottom line, there is ALWAYS that person. So you should Be grateful to Erin because she made us follow them all to their grisly deaths. Which was awesome....

Actually if Kemper hadn;t gone into the house the whole story changes. HE waits outside, Erin joins him and they all go back to the van. The Sheriff takes the body and they all go their merry way~
