Lindsay was surprisingly good here

As a rule, I rarely watch comedies, but I was curious about this one, so I watched it yesterday when they showed it on Italian television.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised! I had never seen Lindsay playing (I had a vague memory of her in some Disney movie), and I have to say she was really good here. In some points she stole the show to Jamie Lee Curtis.

The movie itself was pretty entertaining and fun and it had a good rhythm, I even found myself laughing out loud at some points. The soundtrack too was not bad at all.

Lindsay was absolutely adorable here. Not only was she pretty, she was a promising actress and played the switched character convincingly. It's such a pity that her life and career went downhill.

I agree. She really had a lot of talent that is now wasted. So sad. I miss this Lindsay.

Would a Cupcake kill you?

Yes, everybody already knew she was a talented and likeable actress before she was 20, it's a real shame she screwed it up! But, she could have a legit comeback, you never know.

Of course she could that is why I am still a fan of hers. She obviously has talent in there somewhere.

Philip Seymour Hoffman is a perfect example. Overcame his addiction and went on to be an extremely successful actor. Reached the highest actor achievement by winning the Oscar. Unfortunately that wasn't enough to overcome his addiction; RIP.

He was intelligent enough to keep it private though. She should be so wise.

Anyway the Drugs did not affect his natural talent like they currently do Lindsay.

So sure there is hope for her and if the public could get over themselves. Hopefully she won't kill herself someday...

Yes, one of the sad things about Ms Lohan's life is that she DOES have talent. She's very natural, not "Acty", I remember her in the other re-make... the Parent Swap thing and how surprised I was that that really was just one child playing both parts. But not here, i was not surprised at all, i knew by then she was really good.

I don't know what happened to her but maybe some day she'll get help or realize real work is more rewarding than whatever she's doing now. I don't even know what she's doing now. I wanted to know what JLC had to say about working with her & how it is now, wondered if anyone had commented about it. Since Jamie's parents are both Hollywood from way back, i wonder if they talked about pitfalls, good things, etc.

reply

Yes, I've also wanted to hear JLC's opinion on Lindsay's troubles as she gives very honest opinions lol and I just found this :) http://watch.accesshollywood.com/video/jamie-lee-curtis-on-lindsay-loh ans-troubles:-shes-going-to-learn-some-lessons/1314747675001#

I actually find this film to be one of Lohan's worst performances. She's hardly convincing at all (unlike Jamie Lee Curtis, who I'm not really a fan of though) when they've switched bodies.

So then do you like her in anything? I only ask because this is one of her best performances. What did you find better?

Why?

reply

I guess im the odd duck out here. I thought her acting was atrocious next to jamie lee curtis and i will never understand why such a bad actress is famous.

reply

Lindsay Lohan did a great job in Mean Girls (2004).

reply

This is definitively one of Lindsay's best roles. She really showed her skills her.
