Anyone else love the music?

In all the discussion about this movie I don't think I ever really see anyone comment on the background music. But honestly I think it's one of the best things about the movie. Pieces in Latin, French, Arabic. Including some authentic medieval songs. I could listen to it all day, and it's part of why I rewatch the movie as often as I do. My favorite would have to be "Burning the Past", the one that plays in the scene where Balian kills his brother and in a few other parts, which uses Latin Christian music dating to the 12th century.

yep after the movie i listened to the soundtrack as well as some 11th and 12th century medieval and crusaders songs.

this crusader song is my absolute favorite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0BlBcee2o4 , starts a bit slow but then the pace goes up and wild, lyrics also are impressive, i find it incredible that it was written in 1145 !!!

That's pretty amazing. Listening to it now. Like literally a voice from the past.

Usually when someone talks of the epic scenes, it includes the music as well. Just like Gladiator or Pirates of the Caribbean.

It's a very good OST...Should've been nominated

There was one scene (when Orlando Bloom gets attacked by a few crusaders) in which I noticed they stole music from THE CROW. It made me wonder how much of the rest of the score was lifted from other films.
