What happen to Leo's shell?
Hey i missed a bunch of episodes can anyone tell me what happen to leonardo's shell? Why is it chipped like that? Who did he fight?
shareIf I recall correctly, Leonardo's shell was damaged during the Turtle's final fight with the Utrom Shredder (and Karai) in the last episode of Season 3, Exodus Part 2.
shareYeah all the turtles got the crap beat out of them. I think Karai got the drop on Leo and she stabbed him with her sword, it was pretty brutal.
shareKarai stabbed him in the stomach, if it went through to his chipped shell he would be dead or at least crippled.

Anyway, if you watch closely right after Karai stabs him, there's no damage to the shell; it looks perfectly fine. Also, the scar's really not consistent with katana damage or an attack from the front (yeah, it's a cartoon, but still..). It looks like it got scraped or torn off (from the back) by something bigger, maybe the the Shredder's giant claws.
But, we never see the Shredder actually striking Leo's shell, either. In the scene where the Shredder picks him up and then drops him after Karai interferes, there's still no damage to the shell.
So, it looks like something the writers pulled it out of their asses. Which is a little annoying. *shrugs* Oh, well, it eventually heals/disappears.
