Nick now owns the turtles!
Good thing or bad thing?
shareBAD! The Turtles will continue to be a corny joke to novice fans.
shareI was hoping for a darker, more serious and more violent TMNT cartoon [something that can be for adults].
[BEEP]! Nickelodeon would never allow stuff like that.
Paramount is producing a feature film.
I saw this tweet on Twitter and it led me to this

Didn't Nickelodeon have an X-Men cartoon for a time?
It must have bombed because I don't see it anymore.
All I mostly see now is Spongebob Squarepants [which is tolerable]
I bet this new cartoon won't last more than a season.
A network like Cartoon Network, Spike TV or USA should've been the ones to get the rights.
How did Nickelodeon get the rights to TMNT?
you see back when I was growing up Nick used to have good shows during the late 80's and mid to late 90's...back then, yeah I could have seen the Turtles on that station with no problem, but now? Not so much...
shareit should of been acquired by cartoon network, but they prob dont have enough money. At least their making a new movie, hopefully its like the last one.
shareYes. Put it on the ironically named Cartoon Network. At least Nickelodeon still lives up to what it's supposed to do. And add to it, they brought back the slime and game shows. Unlike Disney and CN, they paid attention to everyone's bitching. Also, this is the network that gave us Avatar: The Last Airbender. Hell, kids die in that show.
share"I was hoping for a darker, more serious and more violent TMNT cartoon [something that can be for adults]."
Well keep dreaming, Nick. It wouldn't have happened.
At least Laird is out of the picture and can't do any more damage.
Could be either way. I only have a slight glimmer of hope for the CGI cartoon because te Wolverone cartoon they have isn't bad. It has its dark moments. I doubt the next TMNT cartoon will feature them actually cutting their blades through human beings, though. It wouldn't be adult.
There's more hope for the movie, though.
