How would you describe the tone of this show?
There's a lightness and warmheartedness to it, but it also has it's drama and complications. What would you say?

shareI'd say it is earnest and full of heart.
shareI would say it is a Melodramatic show with hints of Hallmark Channel-esque sincerity.

I have a visiting sister who is binge watching this series. I haven't seen the finale but I think the best thing that should have happened to the entire town and all inhabitants of Everwood would be for a train full of lethal something or other come down that abandoned railway by accident, derail and dump its cargo all over - brutally and slowly killing everyone and everything - effectively wiping Everwood from the map. It's a horrible, horrible show full of horrible, horrible people.
The argument that they are "flawed characters" making "honest mistakes" doesn't wash. They're mean, nasty, rude, self centered characters making the same mistakes over and over and having the same selfish reactions, over and over. How this steaming pile of crap was ever on the air as long as it was is a sad testament to the pathetic tastes of the common masses.
