Still miss it

Everwood has been off the air since 2006 and I still miss it, 7 years and I miss it. It should've been on, at the very least, one more season.

You are not the only one whos's pining away. I am pining for Everwood. So many good moments, great lines and greater comebacks, storyline, music, character evolution. It's been long since I last posted here but I felt the same you did and I can't believe a show ran so deep inside me!! I am watching some memorable moments on youtube!

For those who want to see the show, this is a great link!

I do think the show could have lasted a lot longer if it wasn't for the merge between upn and cw since I still think the cw made a mistake not given the show fifth season but instead 7th heaven which ran its course by season. 7 and went on three season too long.

I really miss this show too. It should have lasted a few more seasons. I'm rewatching it now. It was so good.

I agree....I still crave new episodes and can't understand how it didn't last. I guess the network merges are just a business in and of themselves, and Everwood got the short end of the stick, but they could and should have gone longer. I don't believe in shows going multiple seasons past their prime (7th Heaven, anyone?) but this series could have done one more year without a problem, possibly two or even three, depending on how things went.

The thing is, I adored the finale, and part of that is because they finished up before people could get sick of them, but really, four seasons just weren't quite enough. I love the small town charm, the intelligent and sensitive writing, and the flawed, yet completely likable characters. They really missed the boat by letting this one go too soon. "Life Unexpected" was another unfortunate example of a missed opportunity...a show bursting with heart and promise, but denied the chance it deserved.

That said, I still enjoy the DVD's all the time. If it's been a long day or week, I turn on my Everwood, escape to that world, and always feel better. You don't get shows like that anymore--you just don't. Even family dramas like Parenthood are nothing compared to this.

I watch the DVDs of this a lot too. I'm watching it again now. I loved Life Unexpected. It was kind of similar and it was a drama too. It was so good.
