Am I the ONLY one who LOVED Ephram

All i see is completely hatred for Ephram - even in the trivia it says he was voted one of the most hated characters in TV history (whoever entered that trivia piece should have at least put a source for us to verify)

For starters he's a teen - so it's obvious he will be annoying at times

but he lost his mom whom he was extremely close to, his dad was never around (and treated as a celebrity), he moves to a random town thinking Andy has gone crazy, he falls for Amy, a girl who constantly uses him for her own personal gain, his relationship with Andy is very rocky - with him even wishing it was Andy who died in the crash instead of Julia

and that is all in the first season

I don't get why people like Amy or even Bright get a pass and Ephram gets complete hate from Everwood fans

Amy used Ephram in season 1, she promises him that their friendship would not change if Colin recovers, and as soon as he comes back, she complete abandons Ephram for Colin, when Colin dies, she blames Andy and because of this she wants to keep her distance from Ephram - she is cold to everyone around her - and then blames Ephram for not being there for her even though SHE told him not to - and yeah, she just lost her boyfriend but she really is a putrid character in season 2 whilst Ephram develops into a likeable guy

I admit he's a complete tool in season 3 but he turns into a great character again in season 4

Everyone is flawed - and i think that's what makes great characters - i just find the Everwood fans' opinions on Ephram is really infuriating when they defend someone as SELFISH as Amy

Look at Andy and Harold - arguably the show's best characters - they do wrong things over the course of the series - but they are beloved by people - but because Ephram is the epitome of an 'emo' teen - he's hated - i just don't get it

Emphram's relationship with Andy is the heart of the show IMO
