I feel what the original poster is saying. Season 4 really felt more gutted when it came to the music. There were two songs in particular that were perfect for the scenes they were used for. One was in Episode 9 " Getting to Know you" the scene when Amy and Ephram kiss, there was a song playing called "You and Me" by Life House. The second was in the first part of the series finale when Amy and Ephram are dancing at Delia's Bat mitzvah, the song that is playing is called "Steady as We Go" by Dave Matthews Band. Here are the link to those two scenes:

This is basically how I feel. I only specifically remember one song that was changed from the original airing and that's Devotchka's "How It Ends" that was used in the montage at the end of 4x09 when they show Bright and Hannah after their shower together, Nina on Andy's porch, etc. I only remember the song because that was the first time I had heard it and went out and found out what it was after seeing that episode of Everwood so I always remember it from when it originally aired and how it was used in that scene. Other than that, I don't really mind the changes at all.

Speaking of which does anyone happen to know what they changed that song to in that scene on the dvd that I mentioned above?

Yeah, it's not fun at all. It's a major sacrifice to get the DVDs out. It's worth it in that sense, but...boy, am I glad that I also have the original eps. The replacement songs are often very generic. :(

When Amy is on the phone with Bright who's asking her and Hannah to come over to welcome Reid home from the hospital, Amy asks Bright if he's listening to Sarah McLachlan. But it's not Sarah McLachlan at all we here.

I've never seen Everwood when it was on tv, so I don't notice all the song changes, but I thought this one was very funny!

Wow I wish I saw the original season. I had no idea.

It's much cheaper to just buy the rights to the song, and not pay the $$$ band.

I agree! Is it just the 4th season? I feel like I'm noticing it on the other seasons as well. The songs are quite jarring and i don't remember it being that way in the original run. But maybe i didn't pay attention to the music?
