Brendan Fraser, much?

I don't know where people get the idea that Brendan Fraser isn't much of an actor, but this picture might put that to rest. He's not just a rubber face. All the work he puts in on this picture, nearly all of it against a blue screen with nothing but his own imagination as a foil. It's an all-star picture, but he stands out.

Gods and Monsters was terrific acting. Certain winner from there on given his smart choice of roles that kept him right in from of mass audience. Some are bit on lame side but nothing that said this guy is failing. Choice of roles can make or break. There could have been pressures on him to try a Nick Cage route and go all heavy but he went with his innate talent for lighter material that has given a wider audience.
In this Looney I also appreciated the many nods to the artistic side. Cool was how they worked in so many famous paintings in Paris Louvre. Kids only get a touch of what that's all about but later they'll see what that's all about.
And then followed up there with Bugs giving the famous Warner quote about how one should always learn something when they go to a movie.
V.P. Never Learning gets roasted too.
Waiting for the Martians.... Max enjoyment for film fans.

No it's not, it came out ten years before it.

I've always loved this guy. He takes a lot of silly goofy roles because he's a silly goofy person! But I agree, he is a much better actor than people give him credit for.

Not to mention, he's adorable. :)

He's pretty good. "Gods and Monsters" I thought was his best, and there've been a few others. Still, he does have a tendency to end up in movies that just look obnoxious, people forget he has talent.
