Why did they use the Gremlins theme in this?


I mean I know both movies are directed by Joe Dante. But still... Who else those something like this and uses the theme of a movie for another movie that has nothing to do with it?

EDIT: They also used the Honey I Shrunk The Kids theme a bunch of times...

Because the model of Brendan Fraser's car was a Gremlin.

Because that was the schtick of the movie, it's a pot of references. Even to the point that movie's story itself isn't very well done, but throws so much at you that's it's hard to hate them for it.

Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and the writers of Venture Brothers also love this kind of writing as well.

Gamefaqs has a far worse population than IMDB

The Honey I Shrunk the Kids song was here because it's an old Warner Bros. song. They lent it out to Disney for that movie. Watch any old WB cartoon, most will have it
