A scene in City of God that was borrowed from New Jack City

There's a scene in City of God that I believe was probably borrowed from the movie, New Jack City. New Jack City which was released in 1991 and starred Wesley Snipes, Mario Van Peebles(who also directed the movie), rapper Ice-T, and Judd Nelson(The Breakfast Club) has a scene where Nino Brown who was played by Wesley Snipes holds a nude middle-aged Black man at gunpoint while he's displaying him on a street in order to humiliate the man. That somewhat similar scene in City of God is in the nightclub sequence when Lil' Ze(Leandro Firmino) forces Knockout Ned(Seu Jorge) to strip naked in front of the clubgoers while he's holding him up at gunpoint. And this was done to Knockout Ned by Lil' Ze in order to humiliate him. I recently watched New Jack City for the first time in quite some time last Friday night and within this week, that scene from City of God came into my head for which I started to think about the similarities with both movies. I guess you could say that you would have to watch both movies to see those scenes and their similarities.
