the problem with MJ
Doesn't anyone every wonder why it's always her who's kidnapped in connection to Spider-Man?
shareDoesn't anyone every wonder why it's always her who's kidnapped in connection to Spider-Man?
shareNo, SpiderMan never kidnapped MJ in any one of the movies
shareIn this case at least, Harry told Doc Ock he could find Spider-Man through Peter. Since Mary Jane was with Peter, Doc Ock figured he could use her as leverage against Peter.
shareYep and in a world of 7 billion people every one of spidermans foes who gain super powers in a one in a trillion accident have a direct connection to Peter Parker/spiderman.
shareOnly problem I see with MJ is that they replaced her with a different character in the new movies.
shareAt least the MJ in the new MCU trilogy was a lot closer to the comic book MJ than the cookie-cutter Hollywood damsel-in-distress Dunst played.
shareMichelle is nothing like MJ in the comic books.
shareYou clearly haven't read the comics.
shareYes I have.
shareThen you should have noticed that Mary Jane, from the very start, was a vibrant, independent, strong-willed woman who made a perfect match for Peter in that she could stand up to him and keep up with him. That's exactly how she is in the MCU films. The Sony Mary Jane is a walking plot device, only showing up to get kidnapped or fawn over Peter. She's nothing like Mary Jane, and everything like the typical action movie damsel in distress.

Just like Lois Lane, always needing Superman to rescue her. And no one making the connection that her fellow reporter, who is built just like Superman and could be his twin brother, is not around when she gets rescued.
