How would Otto survive all that abuse??

So i got high last night and watched Spider-Man 2 when something I’ve never noticed before hit me: how would Otto survive all the stuff that happens to him? Unless I missed something (very possible), but he doesn’t have invincibility or any superpowers, right? He’s just some guy with robo arms. So how can he walk away unscathed from getting slammed into the bank wall, and especially getting launched through a window into a transponder and a taxi cab at like 50mph. Shouldn’t he be dead or at least severely injured? Or do his arms protect him or something?

The comic version survived similar things. Years later, it was revealed he suffered from brain damage because of all this, but for the first 50+ of his existence, it was ignored. I know that doesn't quite answer your question but there is precedent.
