An inconsistencey

I recently saw the last episode, where the Crab says the reason why nobody ever found the body of the Silver Shadow was because he took the body, and that the skull ornament on his vehicle is actually the skull of the Silver Shadow.

And then I saw the first episode, where the Crab says that the final battle with the Silver Shadow put in him a coma for 10 years and then he was put into a nursing home.

If he was knocked out in the final battle with the Silver Shadow, how could he take the body away?

Maybe the Crab got away and took the body of the Silver Shadow to his secret lair, and then went to the hospital for treatment of his wounds and fell into a coma.

The Crab told his granddaughter that when he was in the coma her parents turned his criminal empire into a legitimate business. Did one or both of them know he was the Crab, and remove the body of the Silver Surfer before talking the Crab to the hospital, or were they ignorant that he was the Crab and merely find and use the large amount of profits from his crimes?
