Is Robin Wright Penn playing the wife of Dan Dark? I saw the trailer but I culdn't understand if it was just a friend, a gf or his wife. Can someone tell me please?

Well, she really plays two (aguably three) parts. In the 'real world' she is his astrainged wife, in his fantasies she is something else again...
