question to Keith about possible LA premiere ?

Hi Keith, I know the movie is supposed to open in Los Angeles on the 17th...I think that is right? do you know yet if there will be a red carpet type premiere there before it opens officially? If so do you know the date? I have friends down there who would love to go to it if there is one. Are you going to be at the Mill Valley Festival! what a beautiful setting for a film festival! Thank you again so much! Best wishes, Judy

Hi Judy (and everyone),

Yep, the movie opens in NY and LA on the 17th, then a bunch more cities on the 24th (I'd assume including Chicago, San Francisco), and probably a bunch more on the 31st. But nothing is written in stone and anything can change in the overcrowded fall movie season.

It looks like there is going to be a screening at the Hollywood Film Festival on the 16th, but, to be honest, I'm not sure what kind of event it's going to be - no idea if it will be red carpet and lots of press, or quieter and simply part of the festival.

I'm sorry to not be more specific, but so much is planned moment by moment around questions like can Robert and/or Mel attend, so I'm sort of leaving it all in the hands of the good folk at Paramount Classics, and assuming they'll tell me what I need to know as it gets locked in.

I think Robert is going to be on Good Morning America on Oct. 10 (which will be repeated the week of the 13th), and on Letterman on the 14th, but, as with everything, that can change.

I will be at Mill Valley, at least for the screening on Saturday (the 4th). I'm hoping to be able to stay for the screening on the 5th as well, but that will depend on when they need me to be in Chicago.

Just a heads up, because I'll be travelling doing press/festivals for the film from (approx.) the 3rd until the 15th, it's likely it will be hard for me to log on and answer questions during that time. I'll try, but if a question goes unanswered, please know it's not a snub.

My best to all,

Keith

Hi! thank you for this great answer! WOW it sounds like we have a lot to look forward to. Well I have one friend who is going to The Mill Valley festival so I hope she gets to say hi to you! And I have a lot of friends going to Chicago and I know they are hoping to connect too. Since I am stuck in Oregon I will have to enjoy their stories when they get back. You have a very busy exciting time ahead and you have to know you have a lot of people rooting for you and Robert and the film. Take care ok! with regards, Judy
