Mill Valley, Chicago and S.F.!- to Sidetracked

Hi Keith, Just have to tell you how wonderful it was to meet you......first in Mill Valley at my first viewing of TSD. I got in line at 5:00 for the 6:15 screening and I was the first one there...when you arrived I just boldly walked up to you and introduced myself. You were SO gracious and kind to talk with me...have a photo taken (which didn't turn out) and sign my photo of the TSD poster.
And then, in Chicago, we seemed like two old friends meeting...and you made the seven of us feel so special. And of course, then getting my AMB tie signed by Robert along with a wonderful hug and kiss...wow!! I will never come back to earth....just float along two feet off the ground forever. Thank you so much, Keith, for being so wonderful...and thanks to Robert too, for making this old gal the happiest on earth.
I have a few thoughts about TSD. First, we had heard about it for so long, I was afraid I had built it up too much and might be disappointed....WELL, that fear was quelled as I sat there mesmerized...laughing and crying, feeling Dark's pain, loving the songs, loving Robert at the mike; I thought you handled Katie's big "creaming scene" beautifully....that scene might have been short but Katie and Robert were both fantastic!! The whole film was just amazing and I loved it. Your being there in Mill Valley before and then after, with Robyn for comments and questions was perfect.
Seeing it again in Chicago, I was somewhat in a daze...LOL...but it was even better the second time. We had planned to give a standing ovation but I think we really wanted to listen to Robert sing during the credits. Three of us stayed up till 4:00 a.m. discussing the evening!!
Then, last Tuesday I went to the San Francisco special screening with three friends. They had very little background, only had heard about the original mini-series. They all really enjoyed it!!...and one had really admired Robert before and is now a die-hard fan!! When the credits started to roll I again expected applause...as there was in Mill Valley... so, rabble rouser that I am, I started clapping persistently and they all joined in.

Didn't intend for this to be so long....but then, The Singing Detective, you, Robert, Mel and all deserve the accolades so much. We all are thinking "Oscars, Oscars, Oscars" !!! Wish we could vote!!
Thank you again Keith, for your kindness.....you are a wonderful person!

Joyce
