re: andrewdunn's comments about the musical #'s

In the previous discussion of "Robert Downey Jr is great but" ...... just wanted to comment also on the musical numbers... andrewdunn said they were "annoying"...to me they represented the lighter side, the great sense of humor that Dan Dark had hidden deep inside, long forgotten because of the traumatic events in his young life. The psoriasis-ridden Dark only expressed the sarcasm he felt....but in his fantasy his humor and self-image emerged in the form of the musical fantasies. A very subtle but powerful form of expression. I don't know if this was Potter's intent, but I know music is a powerful healing tool.
