Love Actually 2

What stories would be continued? Completely new cast? A few glimpses of the original stories but with lots of new characters? Who would you cast? Still set at Christmastime?

I loved this movie so much that I'd be devastated if there would be a sequel. Sequels are very rarely better than the original and it would give me the feeling that the producers were only out for the money, instead of letting this be perfect as it is. So my answer is: I simply hope it never happens.

i personally don't want a sequel, because all the people I liked i hope are living happily ever after, and i don't want things to go wrong for them, and the others i don't care about.

Point well taken! I was reading the other day, (upon the death of Alan Rickman ) that Richard Curtis' wife confided that Harry and Karen do stay together, but their life is just not as happy as it was before the infidelity.

That makes sense. it's been spoilt for her, she'll never feel about him quite the same way again. And him - well, it is never really clear exactly how he felt about the other woman, he is oddly passive, but she must have had some effect on him.

reply

Exactly, most sequels are just an exercise in cashing in. I hope there is never a sequel.

They could make a sequel about Andrew Lincoln's character (Rick from The Walking Dead), he could bring all the Zombies with him and call it Dead Actually!
