It is about love (maybe not the love you think about)

I read a lot of complaints about this movie stating that it is not about love, but I see it a different way (and I love this movie) It is not about cookie cutter love but about all different types of love
Unrequited love, Juliet and Mark, Sarah and Karl, Mia and Henry
Sex based love, (plus for laughs)The Collin story line
Non sex based love: Jack and Just Judy the sex part is already there due to the job they have but now they have met someone that they can connect with in a nonsexual way.
Young love, Sammy and Joanna
New love, Jamie and Aurelia , David and Natalie
Old love, Daniel and Joanna (wife) Karen and Henry
Love between fiends, Mostly Billy and Joe
Infidelity with love, Henry and Karen
Love of family Sammy and Daniel, Sarah and her brother
Sacrificial love, Sarah and her brother
Love with grief, Daniel and Sammy and Joanna(mother)
So it is about love in its many forms

I have always thought this way! Thank you for saying this. Everyone just assumes that love is of the romantic kind, but this movie shows otherwise. Yes, there is plenty of romantic love, but it was nice to see these relationships develop and deepen.

The one with Sarah and her brother was one that always gets to me, in a good way. Yes, Karl was hot, and soo many people say she was nuts for ignoring him. But, her brother was NOT well. If she had told him she WAS busy, he may not take it well. BUT, if Karl was the one for her, he would have been more understanding. I think he just wanted the physical part. Sarah knew how to love, it is undeniable. She sacrificed her own love life for her brother. So many people would just leave them there and go on with their lives, visiting when necessary. She was completely devoted, and it was wonderful to see that.

I found that part sort of heartbreaking as well. She was so devoted to her brother. He was calling her constantly but she never complained. She just seemed like a kind caring person. Even when she tried to cheer up Karen at the holiday party. She said that it was 'his job to dance with everyone' she could tellKaren was bothered by him dancing with Mia.

I don't think Karl acted badly. I didn't really see him just trying to get her into bed. I think he has feelings for her. Maybe he thought she wasn't as interested in him as he thought. I'd like to think there was still hope for them. Towards the end when he akwardly went to her and wished her a merry Christmas he seemed like he still cared. I hope it doesn't take another 2-3 years for them to get together

I don't see how anyone can miss this. The movie literally starts out showing airport with ppl hugging saying "love actually is all around" I saw lovers, families, children etc definitely not just about romantic love.

Mia doesn't love Harry & Harry doesn't love Mia, requited or unrequited. Mia wants her boss because she is a skank (and not even a pretty skank) & Harry is a proper fool. NO love there at all.

But his wife loved him.

harry's wife loves him though, and that story is mainly about how his affair affects her.

The movie is garbage.
