How did Cusack get his perfect jury duty?
Bit of a long shot, isn't it, the two of them doing all those years of prep work for the possibility that one day one of them *might* get called for jury duty and it *might* be for a gun trial and it *might* be a huge multi-million-dollar gun trial at that? I know they had been "stalking the gun trials" but that wouldn't increase their likelihood of getting called. Most people never get called their entire lives, let alone for a trial where the subject is one in which you have an intensely close personal interest. It just seemed totally far-fetched to me... although to be fair, probably no more so than much of the rest of the film.
