Can someone please explain me how did this movie cost 50 million dollars? I like the movie but I think the budget is TOO DAMN HIGH. I'm quite curious to know.

I think so too. Denzel's salary. It's a decent movie for sure and Denzel is great as always. But 20 million? It's outrageous, for any actor, any time, any movie. And it's why we pay 10-12 bucks apiece to see even the crappiest film.
Highly paid actors and athletes are like royalty here these days, living in huge houses, wearing very expensive clothes, owning 5-10 cars. It's wrong. Am I envious? Nope.
I agree, it is wrong. People that do something important and work in careers that help better society and people in general, like our children's teachers, social workers, etc. should be getting paid millions of dollars a year. Not celebrity actors, athletes and so forth. They provide entertainment, but hold no real value beyond that. It's ridiculous how much people get paid to prance around in front of a camera, or throw a football really well. I say people that actually contribute to society and work difficult, sometimes thankless, jobs should be getting that kind of money. Oh, well. It's a backwards world we live in.
