Just saw "Last Straw"

Now I know why this show was canceled. This series had been going down hill because of bad plots and this episode was a classic example of Caruso's massive ego trip at work. I don't know if the writers were pressured to do it or if Caruso wrote it himself, but this one sequence was just so unbelievable. The perpetrator's daughter calls Caine to say that it's all her fault and she intends to commit suicide. He hears horses in the background so he knows that she is at the stables. So unless the stables are right next to the CSI building, he shouldn't be the first one to arrive. Apparently there were no one closer and he just had to take the Humvee to save the day, because there was no faster vehicle. Just so unrealistic!
