CSI Episode Aftermath: Stoned Cold

This is a question reserved to all the die hard fans of CSI. Though I am not much of a fan, I have seen a few episodes from the series, and I haven't exactly been okay with the endings. This is cause they don't completely elaborate on the victim or suspect's fate. SO I am shouting out to anyone who has seen the episode to ask what they personally think should/could/would happen, going by the standards of real life, to the suspects/victims of the episode.

The second episode I wanted to ask about was "Stoned Cold". Does anyone have any guesses what could/will happen to Nate Cordero, Megan Wells and their parents after the arrest? Will the parents get much time in prison after the murder? Will the two teens be able to live with their parent's crime? Will the other student treat them like heroes for slaying the high school witch? Or are they all headed for lifelong misery? Please reply with whatever possible aftermaths you can think of.
