That during the ten years that CSI: Miami aired that we the viewers
never once saw Horatio Caine driving his personal vehicle? I do
not recall ever seeing him drive anything other than the department
issue Hummer. Not even in the early seasons was he shown in his
own car!

I've never seen him wear tennis shoes either.
After watching many episodes of CSI: Miami well it is quite obvious
that Horatio Caine is much too vain to ever wear sneakers! And as
for the Hummer well it was in the show to help boost auto sales
at dealerships. Though I personally do not care for it being
a huge gas guzzling SUV which is no longer produced.

I just watched a compilation video on YouTube of his one liners and I saw him wearing a tan suit, a grey suit, a black suit and a Navy blue suit. I was laughing to much to watch what other colors he put on.
shareI'm not sure we ever see him driving off-duty, period, so that may be the reason. Although, in my part of Florida (Tampa Bay Area) city and county law enforcement officers take their patrol cars home with them, so it could just be that.

He somehow managed to drive out the lab, all the way to the beach and still had time to slowly walk away before the damn thing exploded even though the bomb had 4 minutes on the clock when they discovered it. Pretty damn impressive!
