does horatio caine have autism???

the reason i ask is cause ive been re watching re runs of the show and have noticed certain quirks character wise (have they mentioned it at some point in time and i haven't picked up on it) i would also like to point out that i have watched this show from day one so i am very familiar with what goes on.

some of the things that i believe gives away that he might have autism is

- he at times has trouble making eye contact with people

- hes not good with the ladies

- he has a taste for the theatrics

- the way he words things are very cheesy

- when socializing outside of work hes very wooden/closed doors

- when on a case he seems fixated on certain things

No. He does all that because he is just too cool. And since when is not being good with the ladies a sign of autism?

I think the eye contact is the only thing that makes sense for autism. Cheesy words? You are silly.

The whole show is autistic, and not just the dumb scriptwriting.

Crime scenes are easily solved by dumb, heavily made-up actresses jaywalking over a scene and flicking their hair.

Agreed! Autistic actually show a degree of intelligence, just a heavy disconnection with the world & social communication. Of course, the way people criticize this show rather than accepting it as a show & not real life, one can accept a "heavy disconnection with the world & social communication" to be part of the things wrong with it if he or she chooses.

No, he is not autistic but he is your classical "White Knight" in that he will always seek to protect women even if they are just as guilty as the man or even guiltier.

He even to protect that female terrorist from her own people - smart move would be to let them kill each other and then prosecute the survivors for murder - win win.
Or when he treated the prostitute as a victim even though she was as willing a participant as the men whom he treated as scum. "Consenting adults" doesn't have a meaning in a white knight's moral universe.

Horatio's white-knighting is really bad.
