They’re considering casting a gay Bachelor

While “Bachelor in Paradise” has featured members of the LGBTQ+ community, the flagship series has yet to have a gay lead. But the producers do want to explore it, exec producer Jason Ehrlich said.

I guess because they’re tired of it being successful?

I stopped watching the Bachelor shows once Rachel Lindsey got Chris Harrison fired. Jesse Palmer seems like a good enough guy to carry on the torch as host but I still refuse to watch it. If they cast a gay bachelor its a lose-lose situation. You'll piss off everyone of its established audience. No one will watch it outside of the single digit population of people who identify as gay. Depending on who they will cast as contestants im sure it will be filled with people who will be among the very worst stereotypes of people in the gay community. Not only that you'll have to deal will hypersexual people among the contestants who will hookup with one another. It will be a total shitshow.

Remember the movie "Bros". The studio tried to sell it as a mainstream movie but guess what all heterosexual people didn't show up for a movie that wasn't meant for them. Once it bombed the cast went to social media to say, "Go see our movie to prove you're not bigoted." To the producers of the Bachelor don't make this mistake.
