Umm duh the reason Corinne is so lovey dovey and needy for you Nick is because she's insecure and co-dependent, she needs to latch on to SOMETHING, and you are the most suitable thing in her proximity! That's what they do, that's what they all do. It's not because you are so amazing and such a wonderful person Nick! She doesn't even know you! You can cling to that illusion if it makes you feel good, but it's a terrible long term plan.

To be semi fair to Nick, its clear that the producers want her as the main villain so Nick has to carry Corraine for awhile. But typically the main villain is allowed to be booted when they get around the final 6-8. If she makes it to the Final Four, Nick is a moron.
