If fans are willing to pay, they should be willing to play. Some of the bands I like now are quite aged, and they started off as "boy bands" in their own way (the girls used to scream for the Stones and the Kinks), but they should only stop when the fans stop coming.

The audience only had 500 people. Pretty sad indeed.
For a small venue, it's not that bad. I've seen bands that used to play arenas playing in smaller venues and a crowd of a few hundred does not feel pathetic when you are there. Those are all paying fans, and they got a gig in prime time by being on "The Bachelor". I am not a BSB fan, but did not find that pathetic. Fourteen-year-old girls are not going to be interested in them; their former fourteen-year-old fans are now grown up and are willing to go and take a trip down memory lane.

500 people for one show in a small venue.
They also have a residency in Vegas this year at Planet Hollywood. I can't stand pop music, but for you to rag on them without knowing what you're talking about is kind of ridiculous, don't you think?
women in their 30s go only for the nostalgia factor.

The same reason a guy who grew up in the 80s (me) goes to an 80s metal band's concert? I see nothing wrong with that.

ya except 80s metal bands were actual musicians and good and 90s boy bands were horse manure.

Well, that's personal taste. Obviously, those women disagree with you (and me).

i consider lip syncing objectively awful. u should check out howard sterns interview with rich cronin he explains the origin of all the 90s boy bands and the creepy man behind it. its an incredible insight.
