The thing that all of those girls seemed to forget this episode:

only 1 girl wins.

how the hell are ALL these girls losing their *beep* this episode? how could you possibly go into this show and not understand that you only have a 3% chance of winning. you can't go into it expecting to win or expecting it to be fair or that the lead will fall in love with you. these girls show fully understand they are creating their brand for the most part and not to hold onto that measly 3%.

successful outcomes like Kaitlyn/Shawn are because Shawn went into it already having feelings for Kaitlyn specifically, that made it a bit more real than the already illogical premise of this show. all these other chicks were under the impression is was going to be either Luke or Chase (or one of Jojos guys) and basically last minute were asked if it's cool Nick was the lead now.

just enjoy your free vacation and TV time and stop bitching about your 3%!

Nick is totally going to go down as some Juan Pablo esque mistake, but honestly you can't blame the 36 intellectual for not wanting to marry one of the 25 year old airheads they gave him. I'm sure there's a part of Nick that is resentful of ABC for giving him this group. There's a reason why he lights up more around Rachel or Vanessa because he actually feels they are close to his level in life.

I wouldn't want these girls either f i was him.

Nick is intellectual? Maybe ever so slightly more than a Danielle L or a Corinne, but he's hardly a John Cochran type. But yes, Vanessa and Rachel are closer in age to him than the other women so it's hardly surprising that he bonds more with them.

Actually quite ridiculous how few women aged between 29-32 were cast. I think 3 out of like 5 are still on the show in the final 6, which shows that this group was not picked for Nick, but more Luke or Chase.

There's some legit brainwashing going on in this show. The environment is carefully orchestrated to make even normally sensible people lose their s**t at least once over the course of filming. They're starved for human interaction. They don't get to see any other men, except for Chris Harrison, so of course they start to think of Nick as some Adonis. And the only other girls they get to talk to are the ones who are "after" the same guy, so eventually they start to feel self conscious because they have to hear all about his "incredible" dates with 15 other girls. It would only be natural to wonder where you and your date "ranks" among those 15 (especially if you haven't had one yet). Then they go and put half of you on a group date together, so not only have you heard about these "connections", you now get to see them right in front of you. I like to think of myself as a fairly level-headed person, but that would cause even me some anxiety.

But yes, you're right, as a whole, the group of girls they've picked this season are simply too young for Nick. This is the problem with casting the season before choosing the Bachelor. It's not as big of a deal with the Bachelorette, because they tend to gravitate towards casting older guys anyway, but with the Bachelor, it's incredibly noticeable when you've basically cast a bunch of sorority girls.

you're right Nick isn't a major intellectual, i guess i just meant in comparison to the other guys on this show/other bachelors

the men on this show are usually devoid of a personality and very simple and dumb
