My girlfriend made me watch it, and I admit, it wasn't as bad as I thought. The only problem was Mike Myers, in my opinion. He ruined it for me.
He almost said "BALLS" in his rhyme. Sheesh. Doesn't he know the difference between adult and kid movies?

The Austin Powers movies were still very popular around 2002, so the studio research team decided having Mike Myers in the film would bring in a lot of revenue. That's how they make movies these days, they have research teams who know which actors/directors/writers will bring in the most crowds, and who cares if the film ultimately bombs? They make all their money opening weekends. This is why most movies now adays suck.
