Forget the Kids this film was hilarious

I loved that it was raunchy and wierdly amusing. Why is everyone rating it so poorly?

Im guessing it is because IMDBers love to follow the crowd. I read a review and a woman said how her nephew cried during the film because of the film. *beep* Man even if my parents were taking me to see the freaking excorcist i would still be a happy kid.

Bottom line is this film is funny. JUst that when all these overprotective parents start chatting rubbish everyone just jumps upon the bandwagon.

are you going to bark all day little doggie,, or are you going to bite

Well it is a good film for diagnosing and uncovering hidden mental defects.
A kid that "enjoys" this movie should be immediately taken to a psychiatrist for diagnosis and treatment of serious mental illness.

If your audience is laughing at this film, then they are faking it (and are probably sociopaths or psychopaths) because they don't understand humor at all.

Or they are retarded beyond belief at a young age and will laugh at anything brightly colored with a "BOING" noise playing at the same time.

The reason everyone is rating it so poorly is because it is a complete mockery of a classic children's book. Even if you like the raunchy adult humour, which just feels completely out of place in an adaptation of a dr.Seuss book, we still have the obnoxious mugging at the camera from Myers, the painful 'hip' pop culture references, the freakish nature of thing one and thing two (a design which worked as a drawing but not for live action), and just the overall unpleasant atmosphere of the film.

there's no point in being grownup if you cant be childish sometimes!

My grandma took me and my brother to see this when it came out. I was about 8 or 9, he was 5. I thought it was funny although I just thought what they did was funny. I really didn't get a lot of what they said.
I decided to watch this again a while ago and I could not stop laughing the whole movie! I loved how it took me until I was about 15 or 16 to actually get it all.
Alright, now I feel like watching the movie again. :)

The future is not set. You must be stronger than you imagine you can be.

Yes, me too! I watched the film when I was a little kid, probably I was 9. When I first saw the movie, I thought it was unique and stupidly funny. I loved it so much that later I brought the VCD!
It's ridiculous that rating is low, I don't think this movie deserves this rating.
