I think it was April's fault that Wayne kidnapped her turkey. She was so rude and ungrateful to him when he came down to recommend she check her turkey. I would not have "kidnapped" her turkey. But I would have changed my mind and told her she can't use my oven.
Really? I thought he was trying to get in her pants and was just upset at the rejection. Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention but that's the way it came off to me.

Never crossed my mind. I don't think he was trying to get in her pants because I am pretty sensitive to such things. But who knows what is really in a person's mind.
But for the sake of conversation, let's just say he was. It has always been my contention that women ought to be flattered whenever a man finds them physically attractive, unless he is disrespectful or threatening. And her neighbor was not.
So, if he was looking for some "nookie" she should have politely insinuated that she already had a boyfriend, and that she was currently overwhelmed with her getting ready for her Thanksgiving dinner. But, she was eternally grateful for him allowing her to use his kitchen. Because she knew it was a great imposition and she was lucky to find a complete stranger who would let her use their kitchen last minute on Thanksgiving.
So, even if that was his motivation, she was still rude and dismissive towards someone she had no right to be.
But I never got the impression that he was looking for that. And come on, Sean Hayes? He doesn't even like women. At least, not in that way.

Well, I'm the kind of person who usually gives as much benefit of the doubt on such things as possible. And yet even I thought he was angling for a sexual favor. Even if it wasn't sex per se that he had in mind, I think he at least had in mind some making out with her or getting a date with her or something, in exchange for her use of the oven.
But I agree with you that April wasn't entirely innocent. In the scene when she first asks Wayne if she could see his oven, she gives him a dewey-eyed sort of look. It looked to me like she was using feminine charm to increase her chances of getting this guy to do her a favor. And as you say, she didn't exactly seem grateful either. I imagined she could have been thinking, "I'm a cute girl, so he'll do me a favor."
That being said, I think holding her turkey hostage was a case of the punishment exceeding the crime. And he's also being a jerk to expect a "social favor" in exchange.

Yes, I could see him taken the turkey out of the oven and putting it in front of her door. What he did with the leg was pretty messed up; but she got him back. :)
