Still better than most comic book movies nowadays...

Yes it has its flaws, but the overall experience is great, there had been nothing like it before in this scale at the movies and the fx and direction were pretty great....

Still I prefer to watch this than having another seating of The Incredible Hulk, The Amazing SPider Man 1 AND 2, Thor and even Man of Steel.....

THis movie felt like it was made with a purpose, comic books nowadays look like just another cash grab...

I still think there's an argument to be made, how many of the people that liked this movie even consider it relevant it's a comic movie.

How many fans of the comic even liked it? How many people that liked it know of and/or give a damn about Alan Moore's comic?

I agree completely, I enjoyed this even more than most of today's boring superhero movies like Captain america 2..
Yes it could have been better (as most movies can), but it already was great..
I liked the tone of the movie and most of the characters..

reply

Yeah it is better than many modern comic book films.

reply

No, no it isn't.

WORDS MEAN THINGS! Also, before you come to bitch about a plot hole, rewatch the show/movie.

Its not better than the comic book superhero movies. Its not even better than non-comic book superhero movies. Its barely better than Sharknado. At least Sharknado knew it was a piece of garbage, but that was the joy of it. The movie was good right up until Nemo's "motorcar" arrived. From that point on, the movie jumped the shark...or Venice. After that, it was like that guy at the party who has his fly down and thinks everyone is admiring his wit. The movie was unintentionally funny.

My memory foam pillow says it can't remember my face. I can tell its lying.

I like this movie when I first saw it on FX years back and I still love it to this day. You're right, compared to some super hero movies today LXG is still pretty good, especially when compared to movies like X-Men 3, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Spider-Man 2-3, Amazing Spider-Man 2, Thor: The Dark World, Daredevil, etc.

Heck, even if you look at the bonus features and "making of" videos on the DVD you can see how much effort the makers of the movie put into LXG into almost every part of it, be it the costumes, characters, sets, etc. There was a LOT of stuff in this movie they made using props and sets, which alone shows how much effort they put into LXG compared to something like X-Men Origins: Wolverine which had loads of money thrown at it and sucked.

Personally, I think a lot of the hate towards this movie is because of how different it is compared to the graphic novel, but in the bonus features of the DVD the directors stated that the idea came to them for LXG from Alan Moore when he himself was still developing the comic, so by the time the movie had started production Alan Moore was still developing what the characters and stuff were like.

Can't be too careful with all those weirdos running around.

This isn't a great movie but I agree - it's all just a flashy CGI fest to keep morons entertained.
I do NOT like the action scenes in the Avengers movies, I think they are better in this.
So sick of excessive CGI in movies, SO SICK of it.

lol You just named a few comic book movies that aren't good, but ignored all the good ones to try to make your point. Most comic book movies now are much better than this movie. There I destroyed your weak argument. btw all movies are a cash grab.
