Scarlett has a sharp, practical mind for business, taking over her second husband's store and expanding it into a huge success.
Nothing stops her for very long. She thinks her way out of nearly every tight spot~except for when she miscalculates one situation. When one plan doesn't work, she gets busy on another.
Scarlett could be a very impressive member of the group because the average person is going to think her "Southern belle simper" is what she is. Rhett saw through that facade likely before the scene in the library.
Rhett AND Scarlett as a team could be fascinating in Moore's world. They could be very wealthy, powerful and ruthless people.
Also, remember that Captain Butler was first a blockade runner then a soldier.

Just trying to recall how long Holmes laid low after His and Moriarty's alleged Deaths at Reichenbach Falls...(took a quick look at "The Return of Sherlock Holmes"..it was 3 Years!) The idea in the original comic was that the team was put together while Holmes was still officially "dead."

(Loving the interweb!)...I went onto Project Gutenberg and downloaded and read "King Solomon's Mines" after seeing LXG and realising I'd never read this book.. (I Didn't see the Immortality theme for Connery's Character crop up in that book,unless there's a sequel it's addressed in..) I did notice He plays the role Bigger than the book Character's self description would have you believe,although the sweep of the story and the events he found himself involved in fit well for the backstory alluded to in the African Bar when We first meet S.C....

Alan Quatermaine is featured in a number of Haggard books, inc. Alan Quatermaine, She and Alan, and a number of others. The immortality in the comics is from a cross-pollination with another Haggard work, She, which features a "Flame of Eternity" that makes people immortal.
Haggard's works are a lot of fun and I still enjoy reading them today.
