why didn't that kids parents come looking for him?

Now, take into account I'm not totally sure what happened at the end. But if they all stayed in that town and the one boy(Ethan, I think was his name) wasn't their son, where are his parents and why don't they try finding him?

Maybe they did, and they were at the diner too? Maybe the bikers were his parents :-)

I admit I wondered the same thing at the end. It wasn't the greatest ending, but it did sort of fit the bizarre atmosphere.

Well, they may need some reason for having a part two. Maybe they are looking for them and find out like eight months later that they was through that town, and Ethan's parents will go their looking for him....and suddenly part 2!!!!
I think a better ending would have been for the family to go whereever they was going and the whole WORLD would soon be infected by the desaster.

reply

Well the parents probably wouldn't know exactly what route they were taking to go whereever they were planning. The parents would probably search their final destination, but I doubt they would know where else to look.

Warning: Spoilers
Maybe a prequel would be good. Take place back in the 40s where the atomic bomb killed all those people in that town and then become mutants or ghosts, and starts killing people who goes there before the Hanleys did, even before teenagers or college kids in the beginning, because when Patty went down to the mine shaft, there were evidence of other people missing or dead, so they should do a prequel instead. Maybe Ethan's parents did look for him and they got killed or turned into those creatures, because at the end takes place six months later. The part where they were at the drive-in, Matt said that they're out of town till Sunday, so they probably did go to town. So there's probably no need for a sequel, or maybe, to explain the situation.

His parents were on vacation, and probably had no clue where to look when they got home and he wasn`t there, and neither was the family he went with,
