Has anyone seen this one yet?
seems to be making the festival circuit.
shareit played at Sundance and there have been some advance screenings here in LA. I'm going on Thursday.
shareYou went thursday? so did I
I saw it with a few of my friends - loved it. Roger Ebert gave it a *beep* review but that's okay. I thought it was awesome from start to finish, well acted, directed and written. Oh, and Rachel Weisz is gorgeous.
shareWeisz is so beautiful
shareThis genre is beginning to get formulaic in its non-formulaic style. It's so concerned with pulling the rug out from underneath us, but now we're used to avoiding the rug altogether!
This is the most original Tarantino carbon copy ever!
What's that dripping sound? Oh yeah...sarcasm!

I absolutely loved this movie. I saw no hint of Tarintionism in this movie whatsoever. I will admit that I do love Tarintino but Foley really seemed to know what he was doing with this one. Anubody else agree with me that this movie rules?
shareConfidence is great
sharesaw this about a month ago at an advanced screening, still better than most of the crap i've seen this year. A definate winner, one i'll probably pick up on DVD.
shareIt's ok. Too priticable for it's own good, but ok none the less. I thought Rachel Weisz and Dustin Hoffman were the best things in the film.
shareThis is a better film than most of 2003's summer *beep*. I'm so sick of damn sequels....
shareGreat art this movie may not be, but it sure is damn fine entertainment. In my humble opinion...
shareThis movie was awful from start to finish! I respect people's opinions but come on this wanted to be intelligent and failed miserably! Direction was awful, come on main actor narrating and talking directly to camera!!!!!! the lighting and sound also deserve recognition for especially pissing me off! the script come on, i thought we had given up with the monkeys striking random keys crap! made me think the sixth sense had a good twist!
ok overcritical but the film was poor!
I agree there were some problems on a technical level, with sound and lighting. But you can't accuse this one of trying for intelligence, for me this was storytelling straight out of the Robert McKee school- with just enough variation on a traditional formula to be fresh. A pure entertainment, with no other pretensions. I enjoyed it. You have to say Hoffman is fantastic is this. And Rachel Weisz is just too gorgeous to think about.
We clearly have different tastes in films- but I loved The Sixth Sense, and was in floods of tears by the end. Very sentimental and unmasculine I know. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not dissing your opinions.
