Did the chess game begin before or after Sal's death? I watched this on IFC and missed the first couple minutes. Though the impression I got was that the killing of Sal was unexpected and Burns character simply used it then as the start of a new con. Is this correct?
I take that the game started immediately following Sal's death. Meeting the King was the first move.
