Yeah, I will admit it was uncalled for and I for one would not defend a pedophiles action but Ryu is not a pedophile.

Like it's been said before, he was teasing, he was playing around and he was excited (NOT in a perverted manner mind you) because he was able to get the ransom money to pay for his sisters organ.

I don't believe he would of sexually assaulted her. His intention was to get the ransom money to pay for his sisters organ. They were planning on returning her anyway.

I am going to have to agree with a fair few opinions here. It was not intended to be paedophillic scene nor gesture. I did have a moment when I saw it and thought "crikey! theres no way that would pass in western cinema" mainly because I know that people - lots and lots of people, would think that it was.
Now I know we, as westerners, would never accept even the idea of a stranger lifting up the skirt of a little girl anything less than perverted, but is most definately intended just to be Ryu teasing her because he's just jittery with happiness. Young boys do it to young girls all the time and woa! wait! hear me out! They don't do it because they want to see their knickers etc. they do it because they know it will annoy the girl! In a harmless way! That's why he changes the channel and flips up her dress - just to be a bother. My relatives to it to our younger relatives all the time - we don't raise eyebrows to each other. We all just know it's to get a reaction of "hey! stop that!" and we all laugh - ha ha ha.
