Great, better then Oldboy

Its a great movie. Better than Oldboy. Stylish, dark, a logical story, unforeseen consequences, no hero stuff, atmospheric, translates feeling well, some weird funny bits. It has at times a deliberately slow pacing, but that fits this movie beautifully if you care for setting the mood. Certainly a movie you can watch multiple times.

Although they have similar themes I think they're different enough to very well coexist.

If you're going to compare them it's clear that Oldboy is more high concept and stylized and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance feels a lot more grounded.
