Yes, they did take the script, but some actors just have to take what they can get. Ray Park, Roger Cross, Gregg Henry...all excellent actors just looked trapped. I felt sorry for Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu as well. In particular, Gregg Henry really did well with what he was given, instead of just giving up. Now there's an actor.

Actually, I totally agree with the original poster -- throughout the film I kept saying to myself how bad I felt for Banderas and Liu. Yes, as you pointed out, they did agree to the job, but that doesn't give the director license to totally humiliate them. Actors are basically at the mercy of the director, and I couldn't believe how irresponsible this guy was in directing and editing their work into such a sloppy bag of crap.
