Question about Marlo believing Michael snitched

Okay, while he, Chris, Monk and Cheese were arrested, they assumed Michael had snitched and therefore try to have him murdered. My question is why would they assume it was Michael? Why didn't they assume that it was the other young guy (don't know his name)that was shot in the leg by Omar. The one that Snoop took levy to have him take the gun charges. He had the most to gain by snitching. He could have struck a deal to get out of those gun charges. That's what I would have thought.

Because it was the only logical choice for Marlo to believe. Examples when Michael was brought into the homicide office to talk to Bunk about Chris beating Michaels step father. Monk telling Marlo about Michael not watching his corner and throwing up back talk about it. And then lastly before Michael kills Snoop, Snoop was telling Michael how he was always apart asking why about people deserving murder. I don't think Marlo believed Michael was a snitch but Marlo's way was always being careful about every situation. And the other guy you mentioned O Dawg was his name would've been known if he snitched assuming Marlo had many eyes and ears on the streets. Plus O Dawg was still on the streets at the time with Snoop and other Stanfield crew members.

There was no snitch. Lester was running an illegal wiretap and got the information that way.

They considered the possibility that Mike told the police about Chris killing his stepfather, not about the shipment. That other guy probably didn't know anything about that, and neither of them knew about the deal.
And then Monk brought up the fact that Michael questioned Marlo's decisions.

Nope they had Chris because of DNA. They believed Mike told the cops about the shipment

Yes, but his arrest warrant said that the DNA analysis was conducted based on information from a source, and Mike was recently picked up by police for questioning, and they knew about it.
Mike was just a mid-level dealer\enforcer, he had no business knowing anything about the shipment.

Yeah, Michael's name came up because Chris's DNA was found on the body of Bug's dad who Chris killed for Michael. Chris even said it was unlikely Michael snitched about it since he's the one who asked them to do it, but Marlo (who agreed it was unlikely) put the order out anyway out of an abundance of caution.

Marlo asked Chris are u willing to bet ur future on it that Michael didn't snitch.

They never believed Michael snitched.

Taking out Michael was more of a precaution just in case he was the snitch. In one of the episodes they even explicitly state that they doubt he snitched but didn't want to risk their lives on it. The person with the messed up leg likely didn't know enough to have been capable of snitching.
