Series finales
The wire is my favorite show of all time, and a lot of that has to do with how perfectly the show ends. What other series do you think have had great finales?
shareYes, it definitely had not only a great series finale, but amazing season finale montages as well. I know of very few people, despite how they felt about season 5, unsatisfied with the way the show ended.
It could not have been easy to wrap
up a show that had SERIES long narratives that began all the way
back in season 1.
Other shoes with great finales hmm. I just finished the British street drama Too Boy. There are 2 seasons, each with 4 episodes. Those had really entertaining endings too, although somewhat of a cliff hanger since it wasn't renewed for a 3rd season. (Rumors are that a season 3 will happen soon.)
I've never seen the Shield but I want to and have heard that the finale was one of the best as far as tv shows go.

I believe you meant Top Boy. I know, minor typo, but just in case anyone else wants to search for it, I descended to typo police mode. ;) Yes, that's a top show and well worth looking at.
As for the OP, the series finale of The Wire is fantastic, with heart-warming, cynical and tragic moments intertwined. share
