I couldn't stand...

that little bad ass bastard Kennard. With that little disrespectful dirty mouth of his and those evil eyebrows. I was glad when Mike smacked his ass around...and why is he not in school? You see everybody else in school at least once. All you see him doing is standing on the corner talking sh!t. Oh and dousing cats with lighter fluid (just dirty). When he shot Omar, I was hoping that they'd let us see the judge throw the book at his ass and give him death by lethal injection...or better yet, the electric chair.

Well on that note, I couldn't stand DeLonda. Actually I have a different feeling about her. Her scenes were interesting to watch and she was also kind of funny to me. However, I couldn't stand her ignorance toward Namond. How could a mother try to send her own son out to either get his head blown off or end up in jail like his daddy, just so she can go shopping? I remember that time she smacked Namond for saying that what Wee Bye did got him locked up and she said "That's right. Wee Bye walked in Jessup a man and he gone walk out one". Like, Bitch, don't you know your man got 2 consecutive life sentences? He won't be walking out of anywhere, except out of his jail cell to the yard and back. That bitch is crazy.

Here's the deal: their is a sub culture in these neighborhoods. PRISON, not jail, is seen as a rights of passage. It's called "going to school." These people who are in the "game" consider Prison part of it, not a place of punishment or regret. It means they got caught and now they're forced to play the game in prison.

Imagine if your entire family lineage went to college and walked out with a Doctorate degree. Every one from your dad's dad, to his great great great grandfather. Now imagine you had a kid whon said he's tired of going to college only after a year of being there and walks out. His mother would come down hard on him.

We see it as an outsider thinking wow how could a mom do this. And I agree she's awful. But from the inside he's betraying his people and history. Good for him though because this is what it takes to break the cycle.

In todays society an intelligent and upstanding black male is looked down upon by his fellow black citizens. That can't be easy to deal with. There is a while subculture this show allows us to see. It shows us the lIves of those in Blue (cops), the lives of those in Red(gangs) and regular folks as well. There's a code in place. De'Angelo's mother was reminding him of that code. And that he was supposed to be a "man" and do his time. What is NOT obvious is that D'Angelo's family tree is "royal blood" to the hood. His father and family had strong ties to the ne8ghborhood. He's a prince who's decided he didn't want to play the game anymore. Imagine the blonde mon in game of thrones talking to one of her sons who says he doesn't want to be king. It's the same. Not a good thing, but still the same.

D'Angelo wasn't just a hood rat. That's why he got away with so so much crap. He back talked Stringer. He lied to theme about where the kid was. He was never touched because he was the son of THE MAIN MAN who was now in prison/dead.

I hated him too. Another character I can't stand that most people never talk about is Michaels mom. She actually snitches on him so she don't have to leave her dirty ass house which leads to him almost getting killed and the separation of him and Bug

So. A murder for a murder.

I suppose that passes for justice where you come from. Not in the civilisd world.

What else? Torture? Rape? Sharia law doesn't apply here yet, and will never be an adequate substitute for justice. Is that how you treat your own children?

STFU with that bullsh!t. This is a tv show, not real life.
