IMDb Boards Alternative Solution

I have been a message-boards reader for more than 10 years. The only reason for me to visit IMDb is the message boards, right after I've watched a movie/tv series, etc. My comments on the boards are quite few but I kept visiting every day to check up on facts, discussions, new ideas, etc.

I have already deleted my IMDb app, I don't use Facebook or other social media and I have looked for alternatives to the IMDb boards but still cannot find anything, because no other website has a complete list or individual page for each and every film or show ever created. Or is there?

Then I thought, ok, where is there a complete list of films, tv series, episodes, etc. out there that could be used?
Well, the only thing I can think of is Wikipedia. There are pages on Wikipedia on every single think you can imagine, including movies, series, episodes, old, new, etc. This already exists and I don't need IMDb to check up on these facts, I already use Wikipedia for that.

So, wouldn't it be great, if someone at Wikipedia decided to enable a forum feature on each of these individual pages??
So people could talk about their favourite films and shows? And their discussions could be kept on each film's/series' page forever (well, nothing is forever but you know what I mean, right?).

I am neither a computer expert nor a lawyer, so I don't know what that would mean for Wikipedia and I don't even think that this would be on the table for them. I can't imagine the amount of monitoring this would take, but seeing how things worked at IMDb, with so little monitoring, it worked quite good in my opinion. Trolls were either ignored or hunted down by other more 'sensible' users and I could always find every little bit of information I wanted on these forums, trolls be damned.

I am simply brainstorming here. Would that make sense? I think that if an alternative solution to the forums here could work, it would be on a site where each film, series, actors, creators, etc. had their own page.

What do you think?

Thanks to all the forum users/posters, thanks to the ones who contributed amazing discussions and even thanks to the trolls, you really made me laugh most of the time.

Cheers everyone.

I was thinking the same thing, but doubt Wikipedia would want the hassle of message boards.
