It was faked. The doga are fine. They did that because of rumours that the show was a fake. It's funny when you find out it was not real.
shareIn the end of the episode you even see the whole family (including the "killed" Minnie) celebrating, because they're done shooting the second season of the show.
Furthermore, there's a message shown which says that no animal was harmed or killed in the making of this episode and that Minnie is well and living in Beverly Hills.
So, the whole thing was faked just to fool the viewers.
