Was Melinda really a nanny?

Something tells me she isn't. That she was just 'playing' a nanny for the show...

Is she still the nanny now? I guess she probably isn't 'cos Kelly and Jack are now in their twenties and don't have the real need for one anymore, but if she still is, I'd be bloody insulted!!

I think that calling her a nanny was a joke. She and Dave were both minders to each of them more than anything. I mean if you've actually seen the programme, Melinda and Dave were assistants, minders, guiders, friends and sometimes lackies.

Uhhh, Dave is Ozzy's tour manager. He just got stuck watching the kids.

Melinda was the nanny mainly because in the duration of the show, Kelly, before her "singing" career, and Jack, who was barely 16, were still supposedly school kids who were completely out of control with their partying, drug abuse and alcoholism, skipping class whenever they can. Along with Ozzy and Sharon constantly being away from home, that's why Melinda was hired.

In the commentary track for Season 2 and 1/2 it's said that she was the nanny but then became Kelly's assistant when her and Jack were done having a nanny.. Was kinda silly though for them to have a "nanny" when they were in their teens because they tolfd her off and never listened to her anyway... Seems that all she needed to do was to stay with them when Ozzy and Sharon went away, and to wake them up and take them to school when they did go *LOL*

Melinda is now Sharon's assistant. I was in LA this summer and Sharon and Melinda were at my hotel (The Beverly Hilton) going to the spa. haha. That was cool.
