The Osbournes were once the "it" family. They were everywhere you looked. MTV really brought them to stardom. But just as fast as they reached the top, they fell. Same goes for Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. Neither of them hardly have careers anymore...

I don't think they are struggling much. The Ozzma HAD his glory days back in the day, so the show just brought him to a younger generation plus that generations parents and older siblings. So he had his glory days AND another stint in the spotlight, plus his ozzfest stuff. Sharon had her own talk show plus the talent show show PLUS the damn charm school show on vh1 so she has been continuously out there since the show ended. Kelly and Jack have done a few things for tv and while they are not exactly famous Alisters I think they probably enjoy not being paparatzied to death. I think it was a little weird for them to deal with. Being on tv with a famous dad opened some doors for them but also opened them up for being judged pretty harshly by some people. Whether it be the family dynamic being judged or their weights or hairstyles, etc it had to hurt since they were just teens at the time.
I know what you mean though, I remember back in 2003 the osbournes merchandise was everywhere. Bobbleheads, dvds, school folders, etc. Once the show went off it was like mtv didn't mention them ever again. I think the last episode I watched was either the dr Phil one or the one where they went to Hawaii. I think one of the ones I remember most vivedly was the episode where Kelly's best friend was staying with them and Ozzy kept hearing the "get busy" song constantly, everywhere he went and they showed Kelly's friend dancing to it in his room.
