I'm kind of new to this show (and the Osbourne family), so forgive me with this basic question.
So, everybody is british and as a british accent...except Jack.
Why does he have an american accent? Was he in America for some time??
I don't think he has an American accent, it sounds like he has an english accent but an American one is growing over it and his English one is fading out.
Its definitly not completly American. :-)

Which is expected considering he was born and raised mostly in the US. That is where he lives like 95% of his time.

So Kelly and Jack was seperated for a long time? Cuz Kelly definetely has a British accent so she must've lived most of her life in the UK.
Wow, his accent sounded totally British to me, but I guess since he has lived a considerable amount of time in the US and the UK, he could subconciously use both accents? I don't really know . . .
I live in Wisconsin and my best friend moved Texas 2 years ago. When she's in Texas she has a straight up southern accent, and then when she comes back home she talks with a Midwest accent, and she doesn't change her accent on purpose.

Not sure. Oddly enough, I was born and raised in Canada, but I have very significant British roots in my family and sometimes, when I'm talking, you can detect a British accent. I don't know why, but it's there. Like, the accent's very clear when I say words, such as 'baby', 'candy', and 'me'. My husband and my friends have pointed that out to me, numerous times. I know it sounds odd, but it's true.

All of the Osbourne kids were born and raised in the UK (Sharon herself says that she always intended all of her children to be born in England) until their early teens when they moved to LA. The kids still have their UK passports (you can see Kelly's when she's travelling for promo in series 2 of The Osbournes and Jack said his one and only passport is a UK one when he appeared on a programme called Born Sloppy), but obviously environment will have a factor in the way you talk. For example, I'm British. The difference being I was born in Wales but moved to Norfolk in England when I was three, so I have an English accent, but some of my words come out in a Welsh accent when I'm angry or talking too fast. My aunt too spent a lot of time in Wales and Norfolk before moving to Australia and she has a mix of all three accents. It's very bizarre.
I think Jack has an English accent, but some of his words sound American. But we can't all be defined by our accents. Look at Madonna.

shareI thought I was the only one who noticed his accent was different. :D Well, the more you watch, the more you notice that it is an English accent, but it's not as thick as everyone else's. When I first saw the show, I thought he sounded American, but after I while I noticed it wasn't an American accent. :/
shareSome people's voices just change because of where they are living. My cousin(Canadian) moved to England for a year when she was in University and came back with a British accent, then she moved to Quebec and now she has a French one.
--I noticed Jack's as well, some words he says come out with an American while others come out British.
